Aboriginal Sense of Place Garden

Sense of Place is a culturally significant place on Central TAFE's Leederville campus that was planned, developed and implemented in 2004 by Indigenous students enrolled in the Certificate II of Public Art (Enterprise Support).

A bush tucker garden is planted outside the Aboriginal Student Common Room and art room (J block). Behind the garden is a beautiful mural which depicts the story of Nyoongar history through the six seasons.

Sense of Place is a special place for Indigenous students to come and to have an identified culturally safe area where Indigenous people in the community feel welcome.
