The VET in Schools program is a State and Federal Government initiative designed to facilitate pathways for Year 11 and 12 students between schools, training and employment.
Over the past two years, Central TAFE has been committed to supporting Schools with the introduction of VET in Schools programs. These programs have been run successfully across a range of areas including:
- Childcare
- Tourism
- Health & Fitness
- Computing
- Office Administration
- Business Studies
- Multimedia
- Mechatronics
- Surveying & Mapping
- Disabilities
- Hearing Impaired
Support provided to Schools has mainly taken the form of training for groups of school students either at Central TAFE or at a particular School location, and professional development for School Teachers with responsibility for delivering VET in Schools programs.
